National Youth Arts Week (May 1-7) / Semaine nationale jeunesse-arts (1-7 mai): Arts Network for Children and Youth

20 03 2012

From May 1 – 7, creative youth aged 13 to 30
will step into the national spotlight!

“No matter who you are or what your passion is, National Youth Arts Week will give you a chance to express and exchange ideas, share stories, celebrate talents and get engaged with your community.

Youth organizations, educational and community institutions, municipalities and most importantly young people themselves are invited to get involved.

Take the idea and run with it: lead creative activities, plan an art showcase or launch a new community art project.

All kinds of projects and ideas are welcome, from breakdancing to community gardening and everything in between.

Visit our website to:

This is going to be big. Make sure you’re part of it! For more information email info@youthartsweek.ca

The project is being coordinated by the Arts Network for Children and Youth.

Calling all Youth Arts Organizers!

We’re looking for more Community Coordinators and Youth Mobilizers to get events rolling across the country.

Community Coordinators are young leaders between the ages of 18-32 who have the skills and experience to organize events and mobilize other youth. They are funded to help other young people organize events; raise money to support projects; and connect their community to the national event. We have Community Coordinators working in a variety of communities across Canada.

Volunteer Youth Mobilizers are young people who are good at getting their peers and communities excited about projects and are interested in volunteering to help make things happen in their community.

If you are interested in hiring or supporting a Youth Organizer, we are happy to help you get started! Contact us at info@youthartsweek.ca”
